Eat Our Own Cooking
We have a belief at Versant that we should eat our own cooking. In essence, we can't serve our clients if we can't serve ourselves and like it. It’s a basic belief, but one too often lost in corporate America. I’m proud to say that our commitment to this belief is why the Business Journal has once again selected us as a “Beyond the Paycheck” program winner.
So what does that mean to our associates and clients?
It represents the company’s commitment to assessing and improving itself as an employer. We have found that creating a healthy workplace translates into long-term client satisfaction, profitability and the retention of quality people. Our HR leader is committed to developing a strong, serving culture. Clients deserve it! Associates are more productive and more focused in such an environment. It is a win-win.
We've learned that the qualities needed to run a healthy business include: character, values, and concern for colleagues and the integrity of the larger enterprise. At Versant, we recognize that every associate is unique and we treat employees differently in order to be fair. We also know that our associates want to be engaged and empowered to contribute to the growth of client’s businesses. That’s why we have designed a workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to make important decisions, take action relevant to the success of the organization and assume responsibility for results. In short, we support our associates and empower them to meet and exceed client expectations. Now that is good for business.
Check out the award and the article. Today, the eatin' is pretty darn tasty at Versant.
